Where can I buy TOKYOPOP books?

Our books are available in digital and print, both direct from us here at the TOKYOPOP website and at both online and brick and mortar retailers.

We encourage you to support your local comic book shop and independent bookstore. You can find your local comic book shop via Diamond Comics’ Comic Shop Locator and you can find an indie bookstore at IndieBound. Of course, you can also find us at all major booksellers, including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, RightStuf, Kinokuniya, and more.

Will TOKYOPOP continue or reprint titles you used to publish?

While a number of our backlist titles are available as ebooks, if you can’t find the books you’re looking for in our classics catalog then it means we no longer hold the rights to that title and can’t sell it.

I’m a reviewer on social media, can I review TOKYOPOP titles?

Please email us a link to where you publish your reviews and a brief introduction so we can add you to our review mailing list.

Can I get print copies or physical ARCs for review?

Currently we only send out PDFs for review.

I run an indie bookstore or comic shop, how can I stock TOKYOPOP titles?

For indie bookstores, you can place orders through your Independent Publishing Group sales rep; if you’re not yet connected with them, find out more info here.

For comic shops, you can place orders through Diamond Comics; if you’re not yet connected with them, find out more info here.

Are you hiring?

We're not currently hiring for staff positions but we always post on social media when we are. If you’re a freelancer, we’re often looking for talented translators, copy editors, and video editors, so please send us your resume and examples of your work.

Are you looking for interns?

We do occasionally accept interns, though as we’ve transitioned to permanent work from home all positions will be remote. A typical intern position would entail a variety of tasks, depending on the department you’re placed in. Our key requirement, in accordance with the law, is that interns need to be students at a university that accepts internships as school credit. If you’re interested, please send us a cover letter and your resume.

How do I make my own manga?

Practice, practice, practice! It sounds boring, but make sure you’re drawing or writing every day, and of course read lots of manga to study how the pros are doing it. Put your work online for others to experience and be open-minded to feedback. Hone your craft. Deb Aoki also wrote a great article at Anime News Network about things to avoid and some excellent resources for making sure you stay on top of manga trends. Stay persistent – and don’t be afraid to get your creations out there and show the world.
