A heart bound tight by strings and threads
Hanging down, tangled inside your body
And each person you meet adds a new one
Some may take away the old
And each having a hue, some brilliantly gold
Or one dim and old, a memory faded but a story told
These strings hang down with a beauty that blinds
For the heart is not a container that can be filled or full
It’s an organ, beating living, that gets wrapped around
And pushes but can’t break the strongest of ties
Of the threads that love spawns and grows
So find a man or a woman and give them a thread
A thread from your heart- one that comes from your own soul
And weave it in and out, and tie it up, wrap it around so tight
That one can’t escape the fate, your love
And the beauty of these ties, these threads of emotion
Is that no matter the number of people you meet, love or leave
Their ties will remain; never wither, even if your mind can’t remember
So when you find your soul mate, let him wrap up your heart to its fullest
But remember your mother, father, and family
They still hold their own threads that are matted in
And you will always have room for both; for all, for everyone
So reassure them, the family that will let you go one day
Let them know that your heart is full of ties, not a bottle filled
Because a pitcher is an object that only holds so much
And a heart is something that stretches and bulges then compresses
That is the reason, the soul, full of strength, provides unbreakable threads
Threads that will never disappear, threads that grasp and hang down loose
Threads that represent every emotion, all the love your spirit can carry
The threads of youth, passion, and fate, and the soul’s undying love
i poured a lot of emotion into this... thats why its longer than the others. please comment and pop ifya like please also check my other poems, id greatly appreciate it
