PILOT SYNOPSIS

Simon, one time law journalist, now finds himself legal consultant to hapless students in desperate need of representation against the supernatural.  Some have bargained for a perfect GPA, some to be a sports superstar, while others just want to find love.   But regardless of the terms, the victims are eventually deceived by their host fiend into eternal service.   Simon must rely on his wit and fast-thinking to beat these sinister creatures at their own game.  Fortunately, he can also rely on the abilities of his young ward Isaac, a dangerous partner whose relationship with Simon is more than what it seems.

CHARACTER INFORMATION

Simon:

A 25 year old law graduate.  Simon is committed to fair play and defending the underdog.  Though he does not possess any supernatural powers, Simon is a master of wordplay and can twist any meaning to suit him.  A few years earlier this was how Simon won custody of Isaac from his foster parents.  Little did he know, Isaac’s foster parents belonged to a clan of warlocks who then cursed Simon for his interference.  people’s actions.  With Isaac he is wry, dark, and all business.

Isaac:

Though Isaac appears to be a 13 years old boy, he's actually a powerful 300 year old exorcist.  So where Simon handles proving the case, Isaac deals the punishment by physically transforming a fiend’s contract into a weapon to be used against it.  Isaac is also a compulsive liar and can be very manipulative.  He can put on a smiling face, but have his heart torn to pieces at the same time.  He does genuinely care for Simon but when left up to his own devices, he will do whatever insures his own survival. 

Winifred Adler:

Dr. Adler is a long time friend and mentor to Simon, having formed a close relationship with him during law school.  She is privy to all of Simon's triumphs and fears and is one of the only people who can comfort him.  As a professor at Haversford University, Adler will sometimes direct to Simon students in desperate need of occult counsel.

CREATOR PROFILE
Encouraged by her parents to draw, Andrea has always had a desire to tell stories through art.  She loves and is inspired by many forms of storytelling, from old literature and poems to video games and comics.  Although from a science field, animation and visual narrative has been her long lived passion since childhood.  Currently Andrea is working as a college instructor and an animator for a game studio in California.
