When I was younger my mom told me a story. A kind of fairy tale, however this differed from any that I’d ever heard. You see there was this prince whose name was Jake and he loved sweets. I mean he adored them; he loved them so much he secretly married a pastry chief. She was ordinary looking compared to Princess Rose whose beauty was famous throughout the land. She however loved music and secretly married a musician. And you are probably asking yourself what any of this has to do with anything. Well you see the prince and the princess were engaged to be married. It wasn’t like they had any choice in the matter in fact their wedding was scheduled the next day. Now these two hated each other, so much that they would have rather dated a pig than each other. So they decided to run away (not together of course), but their lovers did not wish to leave. They wanted to stay because if they left it would be seen as treason and they would be hanged. And so a meeting between the couples was called. They argued into the night and the decision they arrived at was something neither of the two parties liked. However it was the only way they could remain together and still live in the same place. Jake and Rose would be married and secretly be with their other lovers. And with that decision began the wild events that became the tale of “Royal Engagement.”
