Well it's been a while since I have written a blog. So I am alive but I'm finally getting some things straightened out with myself. But this blog is not about that stuff it's about one thing manga. One manga in particular named GGG by Tsukasa Kotobuki. It briefly appeared in the manga magazine Comic Newtype. this awesome magazine which also had the first third volume appearance of my favorite manga Riot by Satoshi Shiki. ( Before it reappeared in Ultra Jump.) But this is about GGG. Well what is GGG? Well if you are familiar with Tsukasa Kotobuki you might have read a book from him called Mechanical Man Blues from Radio Comix eight years or so ago. GGG is basically continued from this with tha main character being Gun. Well sadly Comic Newtype only was ten issues from 1995 to 1997. R.I.P. Comic Newtype. He did basically two and a half great tales of GGG and sadly I have not been able to ever find them reprinted in one of his doujinshi. I can not take the credit from getting this. Two years ago my brother tried to bid on an issue of Comic Newtype...and lost. Then he tried to bid on a complete collection of it.....and lost. Well he kept a vigilant watch over on Yahoo Japan for two plus years. TWO YEARS, and he never spotted it once but he didn't give up. Then a month or so ago he found it with a determination not to lose. Luckily this time he didn't. We both got up to watch and see if our top bid was enough. It was. I do feel bad for the other guys who tried bidding on it. We were in their shoes. It sucks losing. Thankfully though the two year quest is over and now GGG can be put to rest. Finally found and in our hands. Is as good as hoped. Well I only though it was going to be one tale. So yes even better than we were hoping for. Awesome, awesome manga. I would like to say I can help out someone if they want to find it but there has to be a better way than what we did it. Maybe Mandrake has more readily available copies.
