TOKYOPOP Creators Set for Emerald City ComiCon in Seattle!!


Follow the yellow brick road this weekend to meet talented TOKYOPOP original manga creators Wil Wheaton (author of “Cura Te Ipsum” in Star Trek the Manga, vol. 2), Brandon Graham (author and artist of King City), Jake Myler (artist of Undertown), and Joshua Ortega (author of the story “Frequencies” in Star Trek the Manga, vol. 1) at Emerald City ComiCon this weekend in Seattle!

 

On Saturday, May 10, from 2:00 p.m. -- 3:00 p.m., Wil Wheaton will perform scenes from his latest book, The Happiest Days of Our Lives. The humorous work contains stories about Wil growing up in the 70s, being a geek and passing on his geek hobbies to his children, and coming of age in the onset of video games, Star Wars Figures, and other pop culture phenomenon in the 80s.

      

On Sunday, May 11, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. join Wil in an hour-long “Get Your Geek on with Wil Wheaton” question and answer session. In addition, you can catch Wil in between events at his Emerald City ComiCon booth.

 

Talented artist Jake Myler will be on hand to sign copies of his manga Undertown in the Artist Alley. And while you’re there, don’t miss your chance to meet all-star author and artist of King City and Eisner nominee Brandon Graham. Star Trek the Manga author and writer of the hit video game Gears of War Joshua Ortega is also a guest of the two-day Emerald City ComiCon.

Hope to see y'all there! I wonder if any tokyopop fans go to these kinds of american-type comic conventions??? I sure hope so because they're pretty fun!

I've met all of these guys -- they're all awesome. And if you haven't read 'em, a lot of these manga are online for free on TP.com. Boosh!!!!!!!!!
