Chapter XXXIV: Unpredictable

           

"Mistress!" then the general was too worried, but he has no rights to touch a dreamgazer. But she was shock and sweating when she rises up, fondling her hair.

 

"Their arrival wasn't expected." They thought someone was spying on them so one of the general silently walk out and order a Kzeda soldier.

 

"What do you mean?" above the sky, they were all surprise when a beam hits Klestar. Inside that ship, all crewmembers are alerted.

 

"Coms are offline!"

 

"Seal off deck number 7 and 20 with bulkheads, take off that fire!"

 

"Weapon systems are knocked out!"

 

"Shutting down engines two and three, deck 20 and 21 are now sealed!"

 

"What was that?" Kzeda's space force stops attacking as they witness Orowerreior's biggest flagship approaches behind meteors. Osyra's sensors pick up their id.

 

"It's the OSF-X10 Cario, together with the 4^th fleet!" Nina shouted.

 

"Finally, they arrived!" advancing from Cario, the 4^th fleet consist of some OSF-10 Boecious, few OSF-MS Series Fray Troopers and OSF-B84 Klever Bomber to secure Osyra. Then a squadron of XI Starfighter attack Kzeda from below.

 

OSF-C10 Boecius is Orowerreior's Space Fleet main carrier. It could carry numerous starfighter and few MS Series Fray Troopers. Although it lacks defence, they are the fastest carrier in Orowerreior's space fleet.

 

In terms of stealth, speed and firepower, XI Starfighter is the vehicle of choice. It can attack enemy ships undetected with their silencer in their engines and equip with powerful armaments such as their 40 mm machine gun and mini railgun that can pierce armour.

 

The quote ‘Looks can be deceiving' fits the description of MS Series Fray Squadron, also known as FS. This humanoid armoured fighting vehicle can transform into a helicopter and a starfighter to deceive enemies. 

 

It will be holocaust if a Klever Bomber is dispatch into the battlefield. This ship like bomber is equip with latest warhead that can bring down enemy infrastructures and ships whether in the sky or in space. And unlike other ships, it can be controlled remotely, that's why they can perform kamikaze so well.

 

 "Osyra...can you hear me?"

 

"It's Omenege..." Agent Mikage thought, so she said, "Put him on screen!" then a person appeared on the monitor. Omenege appeared as a human like Yoda of Starwars but his uniform looks more like a navy's vice admiral and from the way he speak, he sounds more like a Terminator.

 

"Sorry if we're late..." he said

 

"It's aright, at least were safe and I known it was his plan, am I right?"

 

"Yes, you're right." After all XI Starfighter fire their missiles, they come close to Osyra.

 

"This is Team Knight; lock on to the beacon and begin docking procedure. We'll escort you to Cario."

 

"Copy, locking on beacon, commencing docking procedure." then five FS rush to beat all remaining Antlion, but since Chaliapin were still roaming around, it took them long to bring down half of them while evading Chaliapin.

 

While watching their dogfight, Col. Ken II wondered why their attacks never follow any formation they learn from the manual but when he looked at the agent, it seems she already knew what situation are they in.

 

"That's weird," Jason said when he notices, "I thought they operate as a team, but I can't find it from the way I see it."

 

"Yes, I notice that, but against that clairvoyant, it's effective. I never imagine being played by that woman."

 

"What do you mean?"

 

"Dark Sorcerer's angel...Glassy, the dreamgazer"

 

"I see...then the rumour was true," Col. Ken II said, "so that's why the Big Man gave an order on a Boecious carrying XI Starfigther in a secret location prior to the attack at port, so a surprise attack would be successful."

 

Behind Omenege, another person is also observing the situation. Then he ordered, "Prepare Merlin!"

 

"But commander..." but he never say why. Without any question, Omenege ordered all crewmembers.

 

"All hand on level two battle station! Tell Osyra to move faster."

 

"Yes sir!" then Osyra receives a message, saying to dock as soon as possible and they are going to fire Merlin. All their ships start to fall back unnoticeably.

 

"Jason, Rod, dock as soon as possible! Silvia, make sure we won't lose the beacon." Agent Mikage ordered.

 

"Roger!"

 

"Adolfo and Paul...try to protect the lower level of Cario with our lasers, don't let anyone get closer!" Agent Mikage's fears can be painted because she know how dangerous it is. As they got out of the firing range, Cario starts to prepare their main canon.

 

"Generator in critical level!"

 

"Disengage safety locks!"

 

"Merlin system all green...Merlin ready to fire!" then they waited for the commander's target.

 

"Input target enemy ship...Klestar"

 

"Lock on target, commencing countdown T minus 50 seconds!" Klestar notice it immediately when Cario opens their hatch and two barrel cannon comes out.

 

"Sir, Cario is preparing to fire their main canon!"  Kzeda's forces knew they don't have enough time to fall back, and to a Kzeda's soldier, defeat means dead so the deputy order all their ships.

 

"Bring it down!" Chaliapin makes their last suicidal move by attacking Cario main cannon, but they can't even pass thru FS or XI Starfighter and since Cario shield can absorb beams and its armour were too thick.

 

Without any hesitation, after a trigger came out from the commander's desk, he grabs the trigger. It took three push on the trigger to discharge a big reddish-orange and purple high energy beam from the cannon.

 

First, penetrating the armour and then seconds later, melting the metal like. Any device hits by this beams explodes in an instant due to the powerful electromagnetic interference it produce. The effects of Merlin upon human are too fatal for humans and destructive on matter. Few of them were caught by the blast, others lost their life instantly by thermal radiation and because space itself is a perfect vacuum, victims demise by hypoxia.

 

They saw it with their own eyes how powerful this weapon of mass destruction and its aftermath. Faster than light and with its destructive blast, Kzeda forces were obliterate less than fifteen seconds after hitting them. Explosion damage the remaining ships, few collided with each other. Without any doubt, this weapon is Orowerreior's super weapon.

 

"Contact Big Five," he said to Omenege, "tell them we use Merlin...because Kzeda starts to move. This will cease tension between the civilians and some politics on the Big Five."

 

"Yes Commander." Osyra goes below Cario to enter inside their hangar. Then all carrier and bomber leave Cario to go back to their station while some starfighter waited for Osyra to go inside so they could still followed the carrier to the station.
